“With all the swirl out there, the impression is that it must be defocusing. There is little confusion. The other noise out there you are talking about at parties or with your friends, but we feel very good about what we are building, Blake Irving, Yahoo Chief Product Officer.
This is a continuing effort of Yahoo, just like the “Runaway Project”, to provide informative videos, rich images, and text in friendly user presentations in a testing process of popular iPad social magazine application Flipboard.
Yahoo also introduce an IntoNow iPad application that will let tablets view audio short teaser to figure out what television shows people are watching and then a very easy to use platform to be connected with news, Twitter posts and other information.
Irving also said, “Hundreds of millions of people rely on Yahoo! Everyday, yet no two users are alike. By building these products on top of our powerful platforms with beautiful interactive design, we are getting closer to a truly “personal Web” for every Yahoo! Customer.”

“If you are reporting a child’s account registered under a false date of birth, and the child’s age is reasonably verifiable as under 13, we will promptly delete the account. If the reported child’s age is not reasonable veriable as under 13, then we may not be able to take action on the account,” said Mozelle Thompson, Facebook Privacy Authority.
According to Facebook privacy czar Mozelle Thompson, Facebook cancelled 20,000 Facebook account on a daily basis, the reason – underage account set up. The recent findings by Consumer Reports states that 7.5 million of Facebook users are identified to be under age and most of their parents allowed them to use the site (Facebook).
The survey includes the following conclusion:
“Although many sites restrict access to children, our data show that many parents knowingly allow their children to lie about their age – in fact, often help them to do so – in order to gain access to age- restricted sites in violation of those site’s Terms of Service. This is especially true for general audience social media sites and communication services such as Facebook, Gmail, and Skype, which allow children to connect with peers, classmates and family members for educational, social, or familiar reasons.”

“At any given time, we’re looking at new ideas, investigating, testing, incubating them. It’s in our DNA to develop new form factors and natural user interfaces to foster productivity and creativity. The courier project is an example of this type of effort. It will be evaluated for use in future offerings, but we have no plans to build such a device at this time,” said Frank Shaw, Microsoft’s Spokesperson.
New strategy like “Windows Everywhere” mark as the Courier’s end, it let us glimpsed into Microsoft’s Darwinian approach to new product launches and development, however, it refuses to recognize the protection of its old product franchises. According to reports, Microsoft finally decided to cancel Courier because it didn’t clearly alight with the company’s Windows and Office franchises and it can be expected within a few weeks.
The team of the Courier had estimated 130 Microsoft employees working shoulder to shoulder and dedicated to non stop contribution to it. A member of the Courier team also said, “There was extensive work done on the business, the technology and the experience. It was very complete, not a whim.”

“The flight went terrific and there is a lot of celebration in the control room right now,” said Timm Dunn, Launch Director for NASA. Friday, 3:00 a.m. marked the launch of earth watching satellite by NASA; it is to navigate into an orbit approximately 500 miles over Earth.
This satellite is expected to bring back data or information about the atmosphere, water, and land on our planet Earth. It is the most advanced with its four complete original innovative features with capacity for noting highly accurate and precise observations. This is another huge leap and putting weather forecast into a higher level.
Not only that, it is not only limited to studying the climate and make forecasts on weather conditions. It has also capacity to keep track on the changing status of the ozone layer, watching the Arctic sea ice and its activities. It is so advanced that it can also analyze wildfires and volcanic ash.

Rocket snapshot from Kennedy Space Centre, Florida
“Florida has five decades of leadership in the space industry, which makes our state the logical place for the next phase of space travel and exploration. Boeing’s choice of Florida for its Commercial Crew program headquarters is evidence Florida has the world-class facilities and workforce expertise needed for aerospace companies to succeed,” said Gov. Rick Scott.
Boeing is in negotiation with Space Florida on their agreement to lease the hanger that housed the space shuttles to build similar crafts that will eventually make space exploration for people more advantageous, apparently, it will crate 140 jobs in the next 18 months, and expected to come up with 550 jobs by 2015.B
Scott also said, “Our country is now completely dependent on Russia for travel to and from space. A private business would never let any part of its operations be dependent on someone else. Fortunately, the space transportation systems being developed by private companies like Boeing will rocket the United States back to forefront of the space industry and help reignite job growth.”

Asteroids
“This is the first object of this kind we have ever seen. For virtually the first time, we have found a witness to the formation of the planets,” said Stephane Erard, Paris Observatory.
Astronomers found a battered, pockmarked object floating in the asteroid belt last year. It has been established that it is an ancient fledging planet, formed when Earth was still in the process of development. They called this discovery “Lutetia” and they analyze it with highly sensitive thermal and spectroscopic sensors.
They concluded that “Lutetia” is no ordinary asteroid- but in fact, a primitive “mini-world” that used to be round and may even has tried to grow a metal heart like a fully formed planet. Lutetia is 121 kilometre long, 101 kms tall and 75 kilometres wide. It has many craters, which include one that measure 55 kms across.

“NPP will help us understand what tomorrow will bring, whether by ‘tomorrow’ we mean tomorrow’s forecast, or whether we mean years or decades down the road,” said Andrew Carson, NPP Program Executive, NASA headquarters, Washington D.C.
NPP is NASA’s newest innovative weather satellite; its responsibility is to keep an eye on long-term climate change and short-term weather conditions. NPP is worth $1.5 billion satellite and it is scheduled to be blast off on Friday, 2:47 a.m PDT, from Space Launch Complex-2, Northwest of Santa Barbara. Live coverage will be available on their NASA’s Launch Blog or rocket maker United Launch Alliance’s website.
Carson also said, “NPP will lay the groundwork for the JPSS system, by proving out the capabilities and technologies of both the instruments and the ground system. NPP is a critical first step in creating a climate-capable operational system.”

“Based on the bitter experiences we have had with the Nintendo 3DS, we are making every effort to prepare so that the Wii U will not stumble during its launch,” said Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President.
The President of Nintendo finally announced the final version of the console; it will be set to be display at the E3 conference schedule for June in Los Angeles. And the global distribution is set to begin after summer but can be part of the 2012 holiday season.
Iwata also added, “We are planning to launch the Wii U, which is the successor to the Wii, during the next fiscal year. We would like to show the final format of the Wii U at the E3 show next year. As we learned a bitter lesson with the launch of the Nintendo 3DS, we are trying to take every possible measure so that the Wii U will have a successful launch.”

Stars and Galaxy
“What impressed me most is that complex organics are easily formed by stars, they are everywhere in our own galaxy and in other galaxies. Nature is much cleverer than we had imagined. The compounds are so complex that their chemical structures resemble those of coal and petroleum. Coal and oil are thought to arise only from living organisms but the tell-tale spectra, he argues, show complex organic compounds can be synthesized in space even when no life forms are present,” said Professor Sun Kwok, University of Hongkong.
According to Kwok’s research team, the observations they got from the Infrared Space Observatory indicated that these spectra have features that is unexplainable by PAH molecules alone. Instead, they concluded that the substance generating these spectra have chemical structure that are much more complex. Through the analysis of the emissions of stardust formed in exploding stars, they concluded that stars are having great ability to produce complex organic compounds in a very short time.

Image of Dinosaurs
“I think it would have been rather slow going, with animals eating as they walked, maybe only going a few kilometres at most as they headed uphill before turning around and heading downhill again,” said Henry C. Fricke, Geochemist at Colorado College, Colorado Springs.
A research headed by Fricke analyzed the tooth enamel of Camarasaurus, a dinosaur species that is long-necked vegetarian sauropod that was common in Western North America about 150 million years ago.
Huge animals, which were up to 50 feet long, would have no choice but to eat constantly to sustain their size. The researchers suspected that they would have had to migrate and look for places where there are sources of their foods, finding location where sufficient foods for their needs are. They analyzed the ratios of oxygen isotopes within the enamel to that of soil samples near where the teeth were found.
