The upcoming action blockbuster “The Expendables” stars what is probably the greatest collection of action movie heroes in history. Sylvester Stallone tops the list along with other movie greats Bruce Willis, Jet LI, Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin and UFC legend Randy Couture.

Stallone, now 64, has returned to the action packed style of movie so popular in the 80′s. The action was more intense then some of the stars realized and Stone Cold Steve Austin said he “almost got blown to bits in one sequence.” as he stepped on a charger as it was accidently set off.

Stallone spoke out against violence at the Comic Con Convention in San Diego.  “If you’re going to do violence and make it heroic, okay,but if it is insidious like a serial killer? Not good.”

The Expendables is not just about action, “It’s about redemption,” says Stallone. The band of mercenaries led by Stallone head out on a mission to overthrow the dictator of a South American country. In the end they turn back to rescue someone but not for money It’s about “redeeming your soul”.

“It’s a man’s man movie.” says Stallone as he talks about how many injuries they had on set. Action fans are sure to be thrilled with this blockbuster
